Achievements
Rita Pires was the initiative for the Woman Emotion project. While in Mexico in June 2007 she teamed up with Kira Llewellyn and worked hard on new ideas of ways to help promote women’s bodyboarding. She is the chosen Ambassador for Europe, who has already proven in the past to be the best promoter in her country. Rita is the owner of b.board academy which is one of the biggest coaching clinics in Portugal. Her dedication to the increase of bodyboarders is just one of her many talents. Her years of experience and many fantastic accolades she has shown so far in her career is a great sign of how much input she will have for Woman Emotion. “This project is for the purpose to promote the image of woman who bodyboard. It’s usual to see a girl do well in contests, but i feel sometimes we miss out on the true exposure. Bodyboarding well in perfect and and extreme conditions is something I want to show the world. There’s a lot of girls out there pushing the limits on a bodyboard and I’m excited to help them get some credit for their efforts.” Rita |
